Hello Alaska Region Members!
We are officially opening nominations for upcoming Alaska Region Volleyball Board of Directors positions and would love to hear from members interested in helping shape the future of volleyball in Alaska.
This is an especially important time to get involved with the region. In the 2025-26 season we welcomed new leadership, navigated a board restructure, reviewed and updated policies, procedures, and bylaws in order to better serve our members but there is still much to be done! The future of Alaska Volleyball is exciting as we continue to strengthen our vision and mission, plan new programming, and expand opportunities across the state of Alaska at all levels. We are looking for passionate, creative, and motivated leaders who are interested in helping grow the game and strengthen our volleyball community throughout the state.
All board positions serve 3 year terms*. At the end of each term, the position comes back up for election, and current board members are welcome to continue serving if they would like to renew their position. Positions that are currently unfilled will be listed as “Vacant,” while positions currently held by someone interested in continuing in the role will be listed as “Up for Renewal.”

*Student-Athlete terms are 1 year renewable

Important Dates:
May 15th AKRV Accepting applications for board of director positions
May 31st Last day to submit your nomination
June 1-14th Board reviews applications and vote on positions
June 15-30th Offers are sent out and confirmed
August 1st Onboarding Meeting for new members
