Brad Houser
Chairman of the Board
(term ending 2028)
Brad Houser serves on the Alaska Region of USA Volleyball Board of Directors as the Chairman of the Board, where he is focused on expanding opportunities for Alaska athletes and strengthening coach and player development across the state.
With more than 30 years of volleyball experience, Brad has been a club director and coached at the youth, high school, club, and collegiate levels. He has also worked with several nationally competitive programs in Utah, Alaska and Colorado.
Professionally, Brad brings executive leadership experience in operations, strategy, and organizational development.
Gary Steinfort
Vice Chairman

Leadership experience as a USCG officer for 30 year. Has 30+ years of volleyball coaching experience. He has coached at the youth, high school varsity and, club levels for girl's and boy's programs in Virginia and Alaska. He is a long time member of the AVCA and the their All-American selection committee. Certified HS volleyball official for 25 years and member of the Anchorage Volleyball Officials Assoc. board of directors.

I have been coaching volleyball since 2004 and have a passion for developing athletes both on and off the court. I currently serve as the head volleyball coach at Wasilla High School and as the Youth Development Director at FVA, where I enjoy helping young players build confidence, character, and a love for the game.
I was born and raised in Arizona before moving to Alaska in 2015 with my family. We quickly fell in love with everything Alaska has to offer and now proudly call it home—we're never leaving. I'm also a proud mom of three boys, and when I'm not in the gym, you'll usually find me spending time with my family.
Kevin Huynh
Outdoor Chair

Kevin Huynh has served on the Board of Directors for Alaska Region Volleyball since 2025. Starting as Secretary before transitioning into the Outdoor Chair. Kevin also serves as the Webmaster.
Volleyball has been an integral part of his life for over 10 years, ranging from player, coach, official, and everything in between. Kevin's passion for volleyball is felt and known by everyone he encounters, whether they are part of the volleyball community or not.
This passion has lead Kevin to being an active member of the volleyball community as a youth club coach, officials assignor for ASA, and tournament director of The Grand Sass, a first-of-its-kind non-profit, outdoor volleyball tournament.
Alynn Fick
Officials Chair

Played Volleyball competitively beginning in middle school, varsity ball in high school and college. Coached middle school and high school ball. Began officiating almost 12years ago. Moved to Alaska 6 years ago and immediately found the region to begin officiating here. Travel to Oregon and Washington for outside tournaments. Have seen some of our coaches and athletes while there and was super excited for the athletes to have the opportunity to experience larger venue opportunities. I am excited to serve and help grow the program here for athletes, coaches and officials.
Dom Mallari
Adult Chair

As the Adult Division Chair, Dominic Mallari is focused on strengthening adult volleyball programming, expanding participation opportunities, and promoting the continued growth of the sport across Alaska. He works to support quality tournaments, strengthen connections within the adult volleyball community, and help create competitive and fun opportunities for athletes of all skill levels.
Professionally, Dominic is a chemist and a barista. His background in science, combined with his passion for volleyball and community engagement, brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to the organization. Outside of work, he enjoys CrossFit -his supplemental way of prolonging his volleyball tenure, and is always looking for new ways to support and grow the volleyball community throughout Alaska.

I have been involved in volleyball in Alaska for many years and have had the opportunity to contribute in several different roles. I coached volleyball in Western Alaska, helping student-athletes develop both on and off the court. I have also been involved with CIC volleyball for the past six years and have spent the last four years officiating volleyball in Anchorage.
These experiences have given me a well-rounded view of the sport and the different needs of athletes, coaches, officials, and programs across the state. I enjoy working with others to help volleyball grow and am passionate about creating opportunities for athletes and supporting the volleyball community throughout Alaska.
Stacey Segura

Stacey Segura has been involved in volleyball for most of her life as both a player and a coach. Her experience as an athlete helped build the passion, competitiveness, and love for the game that she brings into coaching today.
Stacey began coaching high school volleyball in 2009 and became a varsity head coach in 2012. Since then, she has helped lead teams to four state championship appearances, winning two state titles and three region championships.
She believes in setting high expectations, building strong work ethic, and challenging athletes to grow both on and off the court. As a board member, Stacey is dedicated to expanding opportunities for players and helping grow the game of volleyball throughout Alaska.
Swift Blackstock

Swift Blackstock is a tri-sport varsity athlete, representing the Homer High School Mariners. In addition to her dedication towards athletic performance, Swift is the valedictorian of her class of 2027. In the summer, Swift works as a commercial fisherman and kayak guide in Kachemak Bay. She is excited to represent the player experience in Alaskan volleyball, and is hoping to expand opportunities and positive experiences across the state.

Sarah Callis
Commissioner
Sarah Callis has served as the Commissioner of the Alaska Region of USA Volleyball since 2025, bringing a lifelong passion for the sport and a commitment to expanding opportunities for athletes, coaches, officials, and clubs throughout Alaska.
A former collegiate athlete, Sarah played on the inaugural volleyball team at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi (TAMUCC), where she developed the competitive foundation and leadership skills that continue to shape her approach to the game.
Since beginning her coaching career in 2001, Sarah has coached athletes at every age level across Texas, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Alaska, helping players build technical skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for volleyball. She is passionate about expanding access to volleyball in underserved communities and creating meaningful opportunities for athletes to develop their skills, compete at a high level, and pursue volleyball beyond high school.
Sarah believes she owes a lifelong debt to the sport of volleyball. Throughout every stage of her life, the game has kept her active, introduced her to lifelong friendships, and connected her to communities across the country. That belief fuels her dedication to giving back by creating opportunities for the next generation to experience the same sense of belonging, growth, and opportunity that volleyball has given her.
Sarah is one of the founding directors of Inspire Volleyball and lives in Eagle River with her husband and their two daughters. She continues to invest her time and energy into growing the game and strengthening the volleyball community across Alaska.
