Tryouts
NOTE: players and coaches must have an active USAV membership before attending a tryout and adults must have current background check and SafeSport training certification.
Check with each club to see when they hold tryouts for their respective age groups. Each club operates within the tryout dates listed here:

Middle School Tryouts (14U and younger divisions)
July 6, 2026 - Early tryouts (All ages)
Aug 2 - Early signing period opens
Aug 9 - Quiet Period (no tryouts, no mandatory events)
Sept 30 - Middle School signing period closes during tryout period
October 1 - Middle School Tryout period opens (14U and younger divisions)
October 15 - Middle School signing period opens
High School Tryouts (15U - 18U divisions)
July 6, 2026 - Early tryouts may begin
Aug 2 - Early signing period opens
August 9 - Early signing period closes and Quiet period begins for High School players (no tryouts, no mandatory events)
November 16 - Tryout period opens
November 27 - Signing period for HS players opens

Jan 9-10 Friendship Tournaments (hosted by various clubs)
Jan 16-17 Power 1 (2-day tournament) Divisions 6-12, (no 12U division); Registration deadline - Dec 25
Jan 23-24 Power 1 (2-day tournament) Divisions 1-5 (no 12U division); Registration deadline - Dec 25
Jan 30 12U Power 1
Feb 6 Power 2 - Division 1-5
Feb 7 Power 2 - Division 6-12 (includes 12U)
Feb 27 AK Region 18U Junior National Qualifier (for those teams that want to compete for the bid)
March 6 Power 3 Divisions 6-12 (includes 12U)
March 7 Power 3 Divisions 1-5
March 12 AK Region 13-17 JNQs (for those team that want to compete for the bid)
March 13 AK Region 12U Regional Championships
March 20-21 (18, 17, 16) Regional Championships
March 26-27 AK Region 13-15U Regional Championships (note: Friday & Saturday
